For my interactive analysis of objects of personal technology, I have presented my critiquing as a parody of an advertisement campaign. As such, it is supposed to be quite shallow, lighthearted and above all facetious.
Because of this, you won't find many academic words in here like 'agency' or 'metaphor' or 'interactivity'. Instead, when looking to see if I have addressed these criteria, search for synonyms or words that mean something close. For example, I have analysed agency repeatedly with terms like 'control', 'influence' and 'authority'. You won't see any realistic definitions or observations. As a general guideline, the text part of the assignment aims to analyse the object in terms of... ...as you read down the page. The aural part of the assignment then addresses the more personal issues associated with the object, namely: Above all, just remember that the real analysis is hidden behind a façade of shallow advertising like a secondary meaning. So that's me covering my bases, now on to the assignment! ![]() Reference materials and a bibliography can be found here. |
